The Cider House Rules, Part 1: Here in St. Cloud’s

Oglethorpe University's Conant Performing Arts Center Presents:

Based on the acclaimed novel by John Irving, The Cider House Rules follows the story of orphan Homer Wells and his father-figure, Dr. Wilbur Larch, the Director of St. Cloud’s Orphanage in Maine. When Homer discovers that his mentor is not only an obstetrician, but an illegal abortionist, too, his life is irrevocably changed. Homer begins a quest of self-discovery to become “the hero of his own life.” Spanning several decades and featuring a multitude of eccentric characters, Cider House Rules is a sweeping and masterful adaptation of Irving’s poignant novel.
