Louisiana Flood Donations Leaving Brookhaven

The owner of a local moving company is making a solo, 8-hour journey to Baton Rouge on Friday.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — A local moving company owner is set to make a solo, 8-hour drive to Baton Rouge on Friday to deliver donations to Louisiana flood victims.

For the past several weeks, Brookhaven and other residents have been delivering donations to the city's Briarwood Rec Center. On Friday, You Move Me Atlanta owner Thomas DeLadurantey will fill his 18,000-cubic-foot truck with the donated items, including food, clothing, cleaning supplies, car seats, furniture and more, and drive them to the victims

Thomas says when he heard members of his community had come out in masses to donate items, he was inspired to help any way he could. Volunteers have boxed all the essential items.
