Collette and her family live in Brookhaven. Prior to serving as the District 1 Planning Commissioner for DeKalb County, Collette served on the Board of Zoning Appeals for the district.

Collette served on the Board for Citizens for North DeKalb (CFND) that researched the viability of a “City of Brookhaven.” Collette was integral part of the victory that created the largest new city in the metro Atlanta area and continues to stay involved in order to assist the Governor, State Representatives and public officials.

Collette McDonald is the official REALTOR® for the Atlanta Falcons, and she uses her network and opportunities to better serve the community. She has operated a free fitness club in Brookhaven for the past eight years and provides free boot-camp style fitness training. She is also an active supporter of the DeKalb County Police Department, has served on their planning commission as well as the board of zoning appeals, the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival and more.
