• Kroger to shutter 60 stores in 2026. Did any close in Ohio? See locations (cincinnati.com) — Kroger has confirmed that its store at 3855 Buford Highway NE in Brookhaven is among 60 locations closing nationwide by the end of 2026. The company says affected workers will be offered roles at other stores, but the shutdown still means fewer nearby grocery options for Brookhaven residents.
