Sold! 'Mom & Pop' New Owners To Give Old Store a New Look, New Name
The old Mom & Pop Food Store off of Dresden Drive in Brookhaven was will reopen with new owners and fresh new offerings.
The landmark neighborhood food store where locals could grab a cold beer or their favorite salty and sweet treats, was sold recently and will open with a new look, a new purpose and a new name.
The recent construction that began at the corner of Dresden Drive and Caldwell Road caused quite a buzz around Brookhaven, as the site is the former home of the landmark - a more than two decade old institution.
The old store stood ground to watch Dresden Drive develop into what has become a 'Main Street' of the community with the completion of Village Place Brookhaven - home to two award-winning restaurants, swanky shops, and state-of-the art hair and nail salons.

Now, this building is the latest overhaul on the block with dumpsters out front and paint going up on the side of the building.
Paul Nair was on site to give Patch readers the answers to the big mystery. Nair is bringing his Inman Park concept, Savi Urban Market, to Brookhaven as he expands his vision for health conscience living.

Inside the new location there will be chef driven foods to explore culinary creations in both deli and gourmet styles. They will even finish off all of their meats in house.
The market promises a great experience with its beer and wine selection. Patrons will have the opportunity to bottle beer into a beer growler straight from the tap in order to carry home. There will also be an impressive and eclectic wine selection.
Nair stressed that the new market is committed to affordable offerings in the new Brookhaven Savi Urban Market while supporting local companies.
The owners expect the doors to open in about two weeks.
