"The Tempest"

Georgia Shakespeare finishes "The Tempest" at Oglethorpe University on Saturday.

Georgia Shakespeare, which was co-founded in 1985, has brought "The Tempest" to life with the vision of director Sharon Ott for its 25th season.

Shakespeare is known for many his many plays but perhaps "The Tempest" stands out because it was his final one.

The story: Exiled by her own brother to a remote island and left to die, Prospera, the once loved Duchess of Milan and now an all-powerful sorceress, conjures a great tempest to wash ashore a ship of her enemies.  With the power of magic, Prospera manipulates the survivors of the wreckage to weave a story of revenge, retribution, and reconciliation.
