With the cooler winter weather, u-pick strawberry season in Georgia is just beginning. Did you know that washing fresh strawberries will make them deteriorate faster? Or that picking later in the season means sweeter berries, but darker seeds? Make sure to lay strawberries out in a flat-bottomed tray so they don't crush each other in the Upick bucket.
