A New Cafe for Popcorn Lovers Pops Up in Atlanta
It’s Poppin! is set to open on Peachtree Road in May
ATLANTA (May 14, 2013) – It’s Poppin! brings Atlantans a pop of sweet flavors when the café opens on 3165 Peachtree Road in May. Inspired by the owners of Cake Café in Decatur, this new concept features over 300 flavors of gourmet popcorn along with other sweet treats including their acclaimed cakes and an assortment of nuts, classic candies, gourmet chocolate bars, cotton candy and ice creams.

“I’m using the creativity from decorating my cakes to present a new kind of dessert café and introduce real Southern sweets to Buckhead,” says Ardra Tippett. “No one else can boast a popcorn shop with so many different flavors, so I think this is just what Atlanta needs.”
It’s Poppin’ aims to be the first popcorn bar of its kind, with 300 flavors of gourmet popcorn ranging from salty and savory to sweet and spicy. Eighteen of the shop’s most popular flavors, such as caramel and cheddar, will be featured along the white marble popcorn bar, “scoop-ready” for all guests to enjoy. Individually customized creations will be available as well in which guests can mix and match ingredients to create their own unique flavor profile. Alcohol-infused popcorns featuring beer and select spirits will also accompany the diverse popcorn menu.

A sweet highlight of the café’s offerings, Ardra’s in-demand cakes are made using her family’s secret recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation and incorporate real, traditional Southern ingredients. Other treats include classic candies, gourmet nuts, homespun cotton candy and frozen treats. Pair any of the treats with coffee or a specialty drink and settle into the café’s enchanting space.
The “boutique chic” café encourages friends to gather in the warm and inviting atmosphere. Contemporary and elegant design elements inspire the interior, with plush diamond-tufted seating, mirrored accents and custom Alahambra wall coverings. The space offers a cozy feeling and also makes a great space for bridal showers, networking events or other intimate gatherings.
