Arrest Made in August Murder of Atlanta Store Clerk

Police believe the clerk was shot and killed during the course of a robbery committed by a 21-year-old man who is now in custody.

Atlanta police have made an arrest in the August murder of a convenience store clerk in southeast Atlanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Garren Hill, 21, is facing charges of murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony for the Aug. 24 killing of clerk Ajit Kumar Dwivedi just outside the Big Brother 2 Food Mart in the 800 block of Norwood Road, near the Atlanta Youth Academy.

Dwivedi’s body was found by the owner of Big Brother 2 as he came to the store to lock it up just before midnight on the evening of the shooting.
