Atlanta Airport Fire is Training Exercise
Airport officials are asking the public not to worry as the firefighter training exercise is well under control.

Passengers and residents near Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport may notice smoke billowing from what appears to be a fire on airport property on Wednesday morning.
Well, it is a fire. But it’s a training fire.

The official Twitter account of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport confirmed that the fire is part of an exercise to train airport firefighters. A photo posted by the airport shows what appears to be a mock-up of a small jet on fire, with firefighters surrounding and attacking the blaze.
A similar training exercise was carried out last month.
