Atlanta Man Convicted of Murder for Post-Memorial Service Shooting
Prosecutors say a dispute between Sequan Williamson and Anthony Hollis boiled over at the memorial service for a toddler in 2013.

A 24-year-old man has been convicted by a jury for shooting and killing another man following a memorial service for a toddler in 2013.
The Fulton County District Attorneyβs Office has announced that Sequan Williamson has been found guilty of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and weapons charges for the death of Anthony Hollis on July 16, 2013.
Prosecutors allege that Williamson and Hollis had both arrived at a cook-out at the Hagos Park apartments in southwest Atlanta following a memorial service for a toddler who had passed away. As the dinner event was about to begin, Williams approached Hollis to leave, then brandished a gun and shot multiple times, hitting Hollis in the chest and killing him. Another person was struck in the arm by a bullet as she was trying to run away from the scene.

Following the shooting, Williamson jumped in a car with several other people and fled the area. Williamson was arrested by Atlanta police after witnesses picked him out of a lineup. He was found hiding in a closet at the apartment complex the shooting occurred at.
Following his conviction,Β Williamson was sentenced to life in prison plus 20 years on Monday.
