Atlanta is Nation's 5th Best Summer Travel Destination
The metro Atlanta continues to offer some of the nation's best summer travel attractions and amenities.
Atlanta has been ranked as the 5th best summer travel destination in the U.S. by WalletHub, a personal finance website.
Las Vegas came in at No. 1, followed by Salt Lake City, Orlando and Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, in the website's list of 2016's Best Summer Travel Destinations.
Summer travelers are expected to spend nearly $83 billion through online booking sites, an increase of 5.5 percent since 2015.

WalletHub’s analysts compared the 80 largest metro areas across 30 key metrics to identify the most budget-friendly and fun-filled summer destinations. Its data set ranges from “cost of the cheapest flight” to “number of attractions” to “diversity of activities.”
