Atlanta Police: Buckhead Benihana Robbery Was Inside Job

Police suspect that the three armed men who robbed the store had such intimate knowledge of the store that they must have worked there.

Police suspect that the three men involved in a violent robbery at a Buckhead restaurant earlier this month must be current or former employees, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The trio of armed men who attacked six employees and a manager at Benihana just before midnight on Aug. 10 and made off with $10,000 were so familiar with the store’s routines that police now believe the robbery was an inside job.

After dispatching the six employees outside the store who were taking a smoke break, two of the robbers stood guard outside while the third went inside and assaulted the manager before stealing money from the safe.
