Best Place to Live and Work as a Moviemaker? Atlanta!

From the local hip-hop scene to the glories of the Waffle House, the A-T-L is the best big city in the U.S. to be in the movie industry.

Atlanta is the nation’s top big city to live and work in the movie industry, according to MovieMaker.com.

The website recently ranked 10 cities with populations of 400,000 and up in terms of film production in 2015; film community and culture; equipment access and facilities; tax incentives; cost of living; and lifestyle, weather and transportation.

“Atlanta’s doing everything right and then some to accommodate moviemaker locals and transplants, without having to endure a perma-celebrity culture,” the report says.
