Buckhead Eco Collection Event is This Weekend

Registration for the Oct. 11 event at Passion City Church remains open.

Buckhead residents who need to do a little fall cleaning are invited to register for Buckhead’s Eco Collection, a recycling event being held at Passion City Church on Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Buckhead View reports that the recycling event specializes in collecting unwanted items that are not meant for regular trash disposal like paint, electronics, batteries, prescription medication, and sensitive documents. The event was originally scheduled for the spring, but several similar events in the same time frame caused event planners to reschedule it to the fall.

Residents who wish to participate in the recycling event must pre-register at Livable Buckhead’s website. Slots will be allotted on a first come, first served basis. Only residents with 30305, 30309, 30318, 30319, 30324, 30326, 30327, and 30342 ZIP Codes may register. Registration is limited to the first 500 residents, and all participants must bring proof of residency with them to the event. So far, registration for the event has been slow, so organizers are getting out one final push before the big day.
