Buckhead Restaurant Fails Health Inspection

The inspector noted several serious violations which could cause food to be contaminated, such as raw shell eggs stored directly on avocados

A restaurant in Buckhead will have to revamp its food safety and personal policies after it failed its most recent routine health inspection from the Fulton County Environmental Health Services Department.

According to WhatNowAtlanta, Paris Bistro on Lenox Road scored a 62 on its Jan. 6 health inspection. Several other restaurants in Atlanta received failing grades as well; these restaurants can be found on WhatNowAtlanta.

The report for Paris Bistro lists seven food safety violations, which could lead to contaminated food and foodborne illnesses. Some of the violations included:

  • Observed dented cans stored on shelf for service. Dented cans should not be used as they have the potential for contamination.
  • Observed raw shell eggs stored directly on avacados and above other fruits in WIC.
  • Observed several food items stored uncovered at salad bar.
  • Observed cooked meats stored on counter top without any type of cold/heat source.

Upon re-inspection on Jan. 21, the restaurant was given a score of 96, Fulton County Environmental Health Services Department documents show.

Paris Bistro had similar issues last year, when it scored 74 on an April 17 inspection. Upon re-inspection on April 28, the restaurant scored 97.
