Clock Tower Installed in Loudermilk Park

The park across from the Buckhead Theatre should be open in March, according to the Buckhead Community Improvement District.

Charlie Loudermilk Park is still about a month away from its grand opening, but one of the park’s landmark structures was installed this week.

According to BuckheadView, a 50-foot clock tower was erected in the northwest corner of the park on Thursday. The clock tower was a personal request from Charlie Loudermilk, the man the park is named after. Loudermilk is also footing a large portion of the bill for the greenspace.

The Buckhead Community Improvement District (CID) said on Tuesday that the park should be open by March, reports BuckheadView. CID Executive Director Jim Durrett said earlier this month that the $2.5 million renovation should have been finished by last april April, but delays were imposed to avoid conflicts with other developments such as Buckhead Atlanta, Neighbor Newspapers reported.
