Crayola Contest Features an Atlanta Student as Finalist

Shivam Jain has a chance to win $100 worth of Crayola products and his artwork donated to the U.S. Department of Education.

Woodward Academy North 5th grader Shivam Jain was selected as a finalist for Crayola's Creativity Connects the World contest.

Fifty works of art were chosen from across the United States. Shivam entered four drawings in the 5th-6th grade category. His artwork entitled, "Sparks of Creativity" was chosen as one of 10 pieces that will be judged this month.

The overall winners of each category, (PK-1st, 2nd-4th, 5th-6th, 6th-9th, and 10th-12th) will have their artwork framed and donated to the U. S. Department of Education. The winners also will receive $100 worth of Crayola products and a plaque featuring a replica of their original artwork.

This national exhibition is an opportunity for children to learn about the world and be inspired by American artists whose art is on display in U.S. embassies around the globe.
