Dior to Join Buckhead Atlanta's Next Phase

The iconic fashion brand will build a free-standing boutique on a currently undeveloped plot inside the soon-to-open shopping complex.

Buckhead Atlanta is opening on Thursday, but that doesn’t mean construction work will stop at the 300,000 sq. ft., $1 billion development.

According to Buckhead View, fashion icon Christian Dior has announced plans to break ground on a free-standing boutique inside the complex, at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Bolling Way. Dior’s 5,000 sq. ft. boutique will feature a two-story facade and several as-yet unannounced retail and restaurant partners occupying the space. Vertical construction on the Dior boutique will begin this fall, Buckhead View says.

Buckhead Atlanta developer Oliver McMillan revealed last week that Alice + Olivia, BONOBOS, and Courage.b are planning to come to Buckhead Atlanta, reported Buckhead View.

Although you can find the full list at Tomorrow’s News Today, some of the first stores to open will be Canali, Hermès, Scoop NYC, and Warby Parker. Corso Coffee and Shake Shack are among the four restaurants slated to open on the 18th.

A press release from Buckhead Atlanta developer Oliver McMillan states that new stores and restaurants will open every week until the end of the year. Some of the brands that will be open before 2015 include Spanx, American Cut, and Jimmy Choo.

Workers were putting the finishing touches on the project on Aug. 22, when construction crews began planting rose beds and trees on the property. Atlanta InTown reports that the landscaping alone cost $10 million.
