Update: Woman Critically Injured in Buckhead Condo Fire

BUCKHEAD, GA β A 37-year-old woman remains in critical condition after a Buckhead area fire early Sunday, according to media reports, including WSB-TV.
The first started near 4 a.m. Sunday in a first-floor apartment at the Pharr Manor Condominiums.
The fire quickly spread to the other three units in the building and into the attic, Sgt. Cortez Stafford told 11Alive.

The woman was found inside the building suffering from severe burns. She is being treated at Grady Hospital.
Crews went up the stairs and found the woman unconscious and not breathing, Stafford said. She had burns over 40 percent of her body and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

A man in the first-floor unit was transported with minor burns to his head, Stafford said. The initial investigation suggests the blaze started as a cooking fire in his kitchen.
Seven other residents were displaced, reports the AJC. One other person suffered minor burns.
This post has been updated. The victim has been identified as a 37-year-old woman.
