Fulton County Commission District 7

Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor

Lucy Lavoulle - 36.65% / 35,171

Citizens in Buckhead, Atlanta, DeKalb and Fulton counties will be heading to the polls today, and it’s up to each and every voter to make sure he or she is as well-informed as possible about all the issues and candidates on the ballot.

Polls will be open between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, and long lines are anticipated at Fulton and DeKalb’s polling places. Speaking of polling places, check your most recent voter registration information, as your traditional polling place may have changed since the last time you voted.

For your convenience, you can enter your address on the Georgia Secretary of State’s “My Voter Page” website and confirm your proper polling place for today’s election.

Following the closing of polls at 7 p.m., the Georgia Secretary of State’s office will begin tabulating the results and displaying them online.

Fulton voters will have a say in four seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, while DeKalb voters will cast ballots in three U.S. House of Representatives races. The only contested House seat in Fulton and DeKalb is between Tom Price and Robert Montigel in Georgia’s sixth district. Representatives Barry Loudermilk, David Scott, John Lewis, and Hank Johnson are all running unopposed.

In the State Senate, the following contested races will be held between Fulton and DeKalb counties:

• Hunter Hill and Antron Johnson - 6th District
• Mike Crane and Cynthia Bennett - 28th District
• Francisco Artley and Donzella James - 35th District
• Robert Tindall and Vincent Fort - 39th District
• Fran Millar and Tamara Johnson - 40th District
• Greg Williams and Elena Parent - 42nd District
• John Albers and Akhtar Sadiq - 56th District

In the State House of Representatives, the following contested races will be held between Fulton and DeKalb counties:

• Rich Golick and Erick Allen - 40th District
• Harry Giesinger and Jimmy Johnson - 48th District
• Lynne Riley and Paula Troop - 50th District
• Beth Beskin, Bob Gibeling, and Bill Bozarth - 54th District
• Jim Duffie and M. Scott Holcomb - 81st District
• Freddy Holley and Howard Mosby - 83rd District
• Bradley Young and Karen Bennett - 94th District
• Tom Rice and Amreeta Regmi - 95th District

Fulton County commission districts 6 and 7 are contested, with Abraham Watson and Emma Darnell facing off in Commission District 6 and Earl Cooper and John Eaves contesting the Commission District 7 seat. John Spotts and Lucy Lavouille are the candidates for Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor.

DeKalb County commissioners Jeff Rader, Larry Johnson, and Stan Watson, along with DeKalb County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor Jeff Bragg are all running unopposed.
