Fadó is hosting the 11th annual St. Baldrick’s charity event to support childhood cancer research. The restaurant sets up four barber chairs and encourages “shavees” to commit to having their heads shaved at the restaurant on Friday, March 16. These “shavees” get family and friends to sponsor their head shave with monetary donations in order to raise funds for The St. Baldrick’s Foundation. St. Baldrick’s is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and giving survivors long and healthy lives. A special guest emcee will also be making an appearance at the event, and Red Hot Fire Truck Events will provide a fire truck outside the pub as entertainment for children. Since the Atlanta pub’s first event in 2002, more than $600,000 has been raised for St. Baldrick’s by the guests at Fadó. Last year, the “shavees” and volunteers at the Atlanta location of Fadó raised $104,409 for St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
