Gusto! Wood Fire Grill to Debut in Buckhead This Month

Gusto! Wood Fire Grill will officially open in the Brookwood Hills neighborhood Friday, October 31. Located directly across from Piedmont Hospital, this unique concept offers a simple but innovative menu of wood fire grilled proteins combined with fresh and flavorful ingredients for $8.50 to $11 per entrée. Health-conscious Atlantans with on-the-go lifestyles and even the most sophisticated and adventurous palettes will find it’s just what they’ve been seeking.

“My personal mission has been to create a product that offers customers bold flavors, while also being a healthy and convenient option,” says founder Nate Hybl. “Gusto! Wood Fire Grill is where quality intersects with speed.”

Gusto! Wood Fire Grill is one of the few fast casual restaurants in Atlanta to prepare proteins on a wood fire grill. This distinctive technique, combined with housemade sauces and fresh (never frozen or packaged) fruits and vegetables, creates mouthwatering entrees called gustos. Each gusto features a robust flavor profile such as Chipotle Mango Avocado, Apple Curry Peanut, Sweet Soy Sriracha, or four other delectable combinations crafted with ingredients from around the world. Crispy hand-cut sweet potato chips accompany each entrée, and sweet teeth are satisfied with triple chocolate or old-fashioned peanut butter Honey Hill Farms frozen yogurt.

Former NFL quarterback, Hybl, assembled an all-star launch team, including 17-year Chick-fil-a veteran and branding expert Ed Howie as brand leader. “The flavor combinations Nate created for Gusto! are truly craveable,” Howie says. “After tasting a few of the initial recipes in Nate’s kitchen several years ago, I knew this was a concept and food philosophy I could get behind and people would love.”

Well-known brand developer, Lindsay Denman, who is also the designer of the expanded MetroFresh interior, was integral in developing the Gusto! Wood Fire Grill brand as well as translating that vision into the physical space.

“The flavor varieties of the gustos suggest this is a place someone could eat several days a week,” Denman said. “With that in mind, we aimed to create a bright, smart space without the inundation of loud colors and graphics. We take guests step-by-step through the customer experience, and invite them in with the question, ‘What’s your gusto?’”
