Health IT Summit Names Buckhead Company as Award Finalist
Bioscape Digital is a finalist for the Intel Innovation Award.

A Buckhead company is one of four finalists named for the Intel Innovation Award, a part of the 2013 Health IT Leadership Summit taking place on Nov. 12 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.
Now in its third year, the award recognizes companies developing leading-edge technology and unique approaches to improving health and healthcare delivery processes.

"Each of these companies represents the kind of leading-edge technology and innovation that is propelling health IT forward, both in Atlanta and across the globe,"Â says David Hartnett, vice president of Economic Development, Bioscience-Health IT, at the Metro Atlanta Chamber, a founding partner of the Summit.

"Georgia is at the forefront of consumer digital health, with more than 225 health IT companies based in the state," says Tino Mantella, president and CEO of the Technology Association of Georgia, also a founding partner of the Summit through its Health Society.
The impact of innovation on healthcare continues to be a cornerstone of the Summit, which will focus on the topic not only through the Intel Innovation Award, but also through a student award for health IT innovation and a panel discussion on "Disruptive Technologies in Healthcare." This session will review innovative technologies in different industries, and consider how they may be applicable to healthcare in terms of fulfilling Healthcare Reform Act requirements.
