It is my belief that the key to being an effective legislator starts with knowing how to be a good listener. I’ve always felt that public service is about representing the will of the people. That’s my skill and my profession, tackling problems and finding solutions. By working together, diverse interests can forge a stronger community.
As a mother raising two boys, it’s clear to me that our future leaders have big dreams. Yet, I can see the challenges standing in their way. As an entrepreneur and former economic developer, I understand what business leaders are thinking when deciding to relocate or expand their business. As a communications coach, I know which skills it takes to be a strong voice and reasoned advocate for issues and ideas in which we believe.
It’s my desire to help build a brighter future for Georgia families, one in which our children have unlimited potential and can hold on to their dreams. Making that happen means right-sizing government and limiting its presence in our lives. It also means keeping our collective financial house in order, balancing the government checkbook and spending where Georgians receive the best value for their investment.
As you head to the polls next week, I hope I can count on your vote for State Representative. Together, we can make Buckhead and Brookhaven an even better place to live and work.
