Merrill Lynch Advisor Ron Hughes Recognized by The Financial Times

Hughes Named to the 2016 "Top 400 Financial Advisors" List

Merrill Lynch announced today that Ron Hughes, Managing Director in the Private Banking and Investments Group, has been named to The Financial Times’ 2016 list of America’s Top 400 Financial Advisors.

The β€œFinancial Times’ Top 400 Financial Advisors” is a select group of individuals who have a minimum of $250 million in assets under management (AUM) and ten or more years of industry experience. Qualified Financial Advisors were scored on six attributes: AUM, AUM growth rate, compliance records, experience, industry certifications and online accessibility. Financial Advisors also had to commit to complete anonymous quarterly sentiment surveys for the FT.

Hughes holds two degrees in finance, graduating magna cum laude from Auburn University and earning an MBA with Distinction from Emory University. Hughes joined Merrill Lynch in February of 2000 and prior to building the first fully accredited Private Banking and Investment Group team in the Southeast Region, he spent seven years at Goldman Sachs advising entrepreneurs experiencing significant liquidity events. Prior to Goldman, Ron worked in mergers and acquisitions for an investment partnership, focusing on consolidation among wireless communication properties.
