Microsoft Plans Midnight Launch for Surface 2 at Lenox Square
Attendees can compete for a chance to attend a store opening in Orlando the next day, which includes a concert by Pitbull.

Skip Monday night's NFL game and head over to Microsoft's Lenox Square Mall store if you want to get an early look at the Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro tablets. Attendees will have a chance to win prizes, including a quick trip to Orlando for a concert by Pitbull.
Microsoft plans a midnight launch for the Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro at 10 of its retail stores, including the one at Lenox Square Mall. Attendees can register in advance at the Microsoft Store Facebook page.
Braves All-Star and first baseman Freddie Freeman will serve as the special guest to greet fans.

Starting at 10 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, each participating store will host the Surface Challenge, offering contestants in each market a chance to go head-to-head in a series of fun, interactive and sometimes physical games for a chance to be whisked away to Orlando, Fla., the next morning for the Mall at Millenia store opening, where Pitbull will perform.
The company says Surface 2 is thinner, faster "and so much more than a tablet" in its news release about the midnight launch. Microsoft says the Surface Pro 2 is a powerful laptop in a tablet package. Both devices also feature a new lineup of Surface accessories.
