The family of a woman who was found dead in an East Atlanta apartment complex on Wednesday morning is appealing to the public to help police with their investigation.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the daughter of 49-year-old Janice Hutchison came forward to formally identify her mother as the victim, though Atlanta police have yet to confirm the ID.
Patch reported on Wednesday that police were summoned to an apartment complex in the 300 block of Boulevard Northeast at approximately 9 a.m. in reference to a deceased person call. Upon arriving, the officers discovered the body of a woman. Sgt. Greg Lyon told Patch that investigators believe the woman was a resident of the apartment complex.

Lyon added that police ”could not rule out” foul play, but a homicide detective at the scene later told the AJC that they now have evidence of foul play.
