Police: Suspected Serial Killer Had Gun When Arrested, Confessed to Decatur Murder
Aeman Presley is suspected of killing four people during a four-month span, police said on Tuesday.

A man who police in Atlanta and DeKalb County believe killed four people between Sept. 27 and Dec. 6 was carrying a loaded handgun and more ammo when he was arrested by MARTA police, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s coverage of a Tuesday morning press conference.
Aeman Presley was arrested by undercover MARTA police when he allegedly tried to catch a ride without paying a fare on Thursday. After he was taken into custody, investigators linked him to the murders of sleeping homeless men Dorian Jenkins and Tommy “Can Man” Mims on Nov. 23 and Nov. 26, respectively.
Presley allegedly confessed to the Dec. 6 murder of Karen Pearce of Smyrna once in custody, Decatur Police Chief Mike Booker said during the press conference. Pearce, 44, was shot and killed in the 100 block of East Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur.

Presley remains behind bars at the Fulton County jail facing two charges of murder, three charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and one charge each of altering or selling tokens, transfers, or transaction cards and willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer. Further murder charges are expected against Presley from DeKalb County authorities.
