Sinkhole on Road Adjacent to Chastain Park Not Repaired Yet
The city's Department of Public Works is working with a contractor to determine a permanent solution to the sinkhole on West Wieuca Road.

A sinkhole that opened in Buckhead last month, was repaired, and opened again Friday has proven to be difficult to put away for good, WSB-TV reports.
The original sinkhole formed on West Wieuca Road near Dudley Lane on Aug. 11 after heavy rains and the installation of underground fiber optic cables. The first sinkhole was approximately 35 feet deep, WSB-TV reported.
On Friday, further heavy rains caused the sinkhole to open again, consuming the eastbound lane of West Wieuca Road. The roadway remains closed to pedestrians and vehicle traffic as crews attempt to determine how to effect permanent repairs to the site.
