According to BuckheadView, the company has put the kibosh on opening any new retail stores and has pulled out of plans to open a flagship location at the billion-dollar retail development. Spanx, born in Buckhead, will still relocate its headquarters to the site and take up some 86,000 sq. ft. of office space.
Spanx CEO Jan Singer said during a January speech before the Buckhead Business Association that the flagship store was still on track, but Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta reports that the decision to abandon the project had been made months before.

Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta speculates that the Spanx brand is better served as a product placed in pre-existing department stores and not through freestanding company-only retail stores.
