Woman Sexually Assaulted Near MARTA Bus Stop

The man pulled a gun on the victim and stole several items from her after he sexually assaulted her, police said.

Atlanta police are warning residents to be on the lookout for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman near a northwest Atlanta MARTA bus stop last weekend.

The woman was walking from a gas station to the Chattahoochee Avenue/Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard stop at approximately 6 a.m. Saturday when a man asked her for directions, then pulled out a gun. The man then pushed the woman into a ditch and sexually assaulted her, police told WSB-TV. The armed man then stole the woman’s cell phone and backpack.

The victim gave the police a vague description of her attacker, but said he had multiple letter X’s tattooed around his eye.
