Atlanta police have yet to formally identify the woman, who was rolled up in a rug and stuffed in a trash can near the Freedom Bakrway dog park, WSB-TV reports. Neighbors suspect that the woman is Tyna Marlene Bass, 44, a member of the community for over 20 years.
Neighbors told WSB-TV that Bass was often seen riding her bicycle in the vicinity of Highland Avenue and Prospect Place, and was a favorite of the residents. However, Bass had been fighting against alcoholism for many years, and neighbors fear the addiction finally beat her.
