10 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash in Bartow County
The crash was reported Sunday afternoon, and involved several vehicles and tractor trailers on Interstate 75 at the Allatoona Lake bridge.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- Nearly a dozen motorists were transported Sunday afternoon to area hospitals following a multiple vehicle accident along Interstate 75 in Bartow County.
Bartow County EMS crews and other agencies responded to the crash site around 1:42 p.m. April 23 on the southbound side of the interstate at the Allatoona Lake Bridge.
The accident, which involved numerous passenger vehicles and tractor trailers, resulted in the interstate being closed on the southbound side for an extended period of time, said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.

"The crews were having difficulty getting to the accident scene due to vehicles blocking the emergency lanes southbound (sic)," he added.
A total of four county EMS units responded and once on the scene, a total of 10 patients were evaluated and transported to area hospitals for treatment. Two patients were transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital while the remaining eight were taken to Cartersville Medical Center.

Cothran said all injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
