Four trucks loaded with water were sent from the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Cartersville, Georgia, to assist residents of Columbia, Charleston and Myrtle Beach, and military families at Fort Jackson. Local Anheuser-Busch distributors KW Associates, Southern Eagle and Better Brands are working with the American Red Cross and other local agencies to distribute the water to those in need.
“People in South Carolina affected by floods are in need of fresh drinking water, and this is one way Anheuser-Busch and our local wholesalers can help,” said Sarah Schilling, brewmaster at the Anheuser-Busch Cartersville brewery. “When a disaster like this strikes, we have a responsibility to support our neighbors.”
