Armed Robbery Reported at SunTrust Bank
BREAKING: the Bartow County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident, which occurred Friday in Cartersville.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- An armed robbery was reported Friday morning at SunTrust Bank in Cartersville, and the Bartow County Sheriff's Office is on the hunt for the suspect.
The agency is asking citizens to help identify the suspect in connection to the Sept. 9 incident.
According to the sheriff's office, the suspect entered the bank around 9:49 a.m. and "ordered everyone on the floor and demanded cash."

"He claimed to be armed, but no weapon was observed," Sheriff Clark Millsap said.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing blue pants, a red long-sleeved shirt, white athletic shoes, a black ball cap, gloves and a red bandana over his face. He was last seen running away from the bank near the old Ryan's building located next to the bank.

No one was injured during the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office's Criminal Investigation Division at 770-382-5050 ext. 6030.
