A lifelong resident of Bartow County, Bryson attended Cartersville city schools and upon earning his law degree, returned to his hometown where he remains active in a variety of local, nonprofit organizations.

“Growing up in Bartow County, I was always active in civic clubs and organizations in school, and volunteered to local causes and charitable groups,” Bryson said. “Giving back is something that has always been a priority to me, which is why I have dedicated my career to serving others, not only through continued volunteer efforts, but through my practice of law. I have had the privilege of representing both plaintiffs and defendants in Magistrate Courts across north Georgia, and genuinely understand law, and how to make the Magistrate Court even more accessible and efficient.”

After graduating Cartersville High School, Bryson attended Kennesaw State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science, and was inducted to Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society and served as vice president of the Political Science Club.

Upon graduating from Kennesaw State, he enrolled at the Mississippi College School of Law. While there, he served as an extern for the Office of the United States Trustee for Region 5, covering both Mississippi and Louisiana and spent his summers clerking for a Cartersville law firm.

Bryson has received a broad range of experience, working as an attorney in both private practice and in the corporate world. Currently, he serves as legal counsel for a finance company, where he represents the company and its affiliates in a variety of legal matters including consumer lending compliance, contract law, secured transactions, creditor’s rights, and general civil litigation.

This practice, as well as work with previous firms, has provided Bryson with the know-how and familiarity of presenting cases before Magistrate Courts.

When he is not in court representing clients, Bryson enjoys giving back to his community by providing legal services pro bono, participating in speaking engagements and volunteering with local organizations, including the Good Neighbor Homeless shelter, Advocates for Children, and his church.

Bryson expressed his reasons for staying so involved.

“I’m a firm believer in the saying ‘to whom much is given, much is required’,” he added. “I am blessed to have grown up in such a great community, and want to ensure the continued success and growth of Bartow County for generations to come. As a member of the Georgia Bar, a wealth of experience in the courts of law, and a heart to give, I feel I am an ideal candidate for the position of Chief Magistrate Judge. I look forward to the opportunity to serve my home town.”

An opportunity to meet and support the candidate at his campaign kickoff party will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Sixes Tavern in Cartersville.

Also, be sure to look for Bryson at the upcoming Cartersville Christmas Parade on Thursday, Dec. 3.
