Bartow Adopts $61 Million Ops Budget

Commissioner Clarence Brown approved a financial plan, the general fund of which is jail officers to staff a new addition and bought capital equipment.

His constituents offered no further comment during a second public hearing, reports.

In all, the nearly $105 million budget is about $200,000 less than in 2011, a less than .2 percent decrease.

In other business, Brown made a number of appointments, approved agreements and applied for 2013 public transportation funding, all of which are listed on the attached agenda.

He also approved alcohol licenses for Park Marina, Santana Mini Mart and T&M Food Store, according to the newspaper.
