Bartow County Schools Calendar 2018-19

BARTOW COUNTY, GA — The summer has (nearly) come and gone, and your little ones will soon return to classes in the Bartow County School System. The first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 8 for students, with pre-planning set for Aug. 1-3 and Aug. 6-7 for teachers.

Here are some other notable dates for the 2018-19 calendar:

• Aug. 8: first day of school
• Sept. 3: student holiday
• Oct. 8-9: student holiday
• Nov. 19-23: student holiday
• Dec. 24 through Jan. 4, 2019: student holiday/winter break
• Jan. 7, 2019: second semester pre-planning; student holiday
• Jan. 8, 2019: first day of the second semester
• Feb. 11-12, 2019: student holiday
• March 8, 2019: professional development day; student holiday
• April 1-5, 2019: student holiday/spring break
• May 24, 2019: last day of school; early release (11 a.m. for elementary schools; noon for middle and high schools)
• May 27, 2019: school holiday
• May 28-30: post planning

Open House

High school schedules for Bartow County students moving into grades 10 through 12 will be available at their respective schools from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, July 30 and Tuesday, July 31. Freshman schedules will be distributed at open house at their schools.

Open house will be held Monday, Aug. 5. Elementary school open house will be held 4-6 p.m., middle school hours are 5-7 p.m. and freshman open house is set for 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

School meals

Breakfast is free for all students enrolled in the Bartow County School System.

For adults and guests, breakfast is $2 and lunch will cost $3.25. You can apply for free and reduced lunch meals by clicking here.
