Bartow GOP: 'Great Surge in Interest'
Bartow County Republican Party Chairman Louis DeBroux said voters are "greatly concerned" during an appearance on The Hayden Collins Radio Program.
As the Bartow County Republican Party last weekend began gearing up for its process to elect delegates to send to county and state conventions, Chairman Louis DeBroux gave an update in an appearance on WYXC-1270 AM's The Hayden Collins Radio Program.
DeBroux said the local GOP has seen "a great surge in interest this year for obvious reasons," citing polls he says indicate conservatives and most independents "are greatly concerned with the direction [in which] our country is going right now.
"I think that both parties have in large measure failed the citizens of this country for too many years," DeBroux said, adding not only the Obama Administration but also Republicans when they held power "spent far too much money."

In a discussion on the debt crisis in Greece, which is set for a second bailout package from European countries, DeBroux said Greece serves as the "writing on the wall" for America and its deficit spending.
"What we need now is elected officials [who] are more concerned about restoring the integrity of our country," Debroux said. "We are not exempt from collapsing as a nation simply because we are America."
