Body Found Inside Car In Cartersville

BREAKING: The woman's body was discovered inside a parked vehicle on Industrial Park Road, the Cartersville Police Department said.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — A body was found early Monday morning along Industrial Park Roadin Cartersville.

Officers with the Cartersville Police Department were dispatched around 5 a.m. Nov. 28 to a call of a deceased woman at 233 Industrial Park Road.

Lt. Mike Bettikofer, spokesperson with the agency, said the body was discovered inside a parked vehicle.

The woman appears to be about 36 years old, he added. Bartow County Joel Guyton told Patch it appears the cause of death is a suicide at this point.

"The investigation is ongoing and information will be released as it is made available," Bettikofer added.
