The Georgia State Patrol said charges are pending in the crash reported early Monday on Pine Grove Road in Cartersville.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The Georgia State Patrol has released a few more details on a single-vehicle crash reported early Monday on Pine Grove Road in Cartersville. Troopers and other first responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident around 3:40 a.m. Nov. 13 at Pine Grove Road's intersection with Chimney Lane.
The trooper's preliminary report indicates a 1998 Honda Civic was traveling southbound "too fast for conditions" when it traveled off the left side of the road, continued down an embankment, hit a culvert and came to a rest on its top inside a ditch.
All three men inside the car were entrapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle, Bartow County Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Brad Cothran previously told Patch. Cothran said two men were unconscious and unresponsive on the scene, and suffered head injuries, fractured femurs and possible internal abdominal bleeding. The third man was alert, but also suffered several fractures to his legs and arms.
