Cartersville-Bartow Chamber Names Interim President
Nancy Haight, an accountability specialist with the State Department of Education, will begin her tenure July 1.

A new face will soon lead the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce on a temporary basis.

Starting July 1, Nancy Haight will serve as interim president and CEO, the chamber said on Tuesday in a press release.
The announcement comes just a month after Joe Frank Harris, Jr. resigned from the post.

Haight moved to Cartersville in 1986 as a part of her family’s textile printing business, A.S. Haight & Co., until its closing in 2001.
She served on the chamber’s Board of Directors from 1989-1995, including serving as chair in 1993.
Haight is retiring as accountability specialist with the State Department of Education, an agency she has been employed with since 2009.
She will serve as President and CEO throughout the search process to replace Harris.
