Cartersville Christmas Parade Returns Dec. 1
The parade, which will wind through downtown Cartersville, begins at 6 p.m.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- Organizers are gearing up to bring the Christmas spirit into downtown Cartersville.
The 2016 Cartersville-Bartow County Exchange Club Christmas Parade has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. A tentative date reserved for inclement weather has been set for Dec. 8.
Lineup will begin at 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Tabernacle Baptist Church, which is located at 112 E. Church Street.

The parade route is the same as last year, and winds through the streets of downtown Cartersville.
It begins by turning out of the Tabernacle Baptist parking lot, taking a right onto Church Street bridge, continuing on Church Street until turning left onto Bartow Street, left onto Main Street, left onto Stonewall Street, left onto Church Street, right onto Tennessee Street, left onto Howard Street before making the final turn left onto Douglas Street and returning to the Tabernacle Baptist parking lot.

The parade is the largest in northwest Georgia, garnering over 100 participating floats annually.
Of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus will once again make an appearance this year. The application deadline for participants was Nov. 21. A $50 fee will be assessed for applications submitted after this date.
