Cartersville Deputy Chief Accused of Solicitation Resigns
Jason DiPrima, formerly of the Cartersville Police Department, resigned Thursday after being charged with soliciting a prostitute.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — A Cartersville deputy police chief who was charged with soliciting a prostitute on Sept. 1 in a week-long human trafficking sting resigned Thursday, according to the Cartersville Police Department in a news release.
Jason DiPrima, 49, of Kingston, was arrested last week by Polk County, Florida detectives after Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said he attempted to engage in sexual activities with two women in exchange for money. He was unaware one of the women was an undercover detective, Judd said.
Following his arrest, DiPrima was put on administrative leave, Cartersville police said.

He was attending an American Polygraph Association Seminar/Workshop in Orlando, Florida, at the time of his arrest.
DiPrima was taken to the Polk County Jail, where authorities said he posted a $500 bond at 4 a.m. Saturday.
