Cartersville Man Arrested On Drug, Fraudulent Check Charges
The man was taken to the Bartow County Jail after police said they found methamphetamine and eutylone in his car during a traffic stop.
CARTERSVILLE, GA — A Cartersville man is facing multiple charges after police said they found drugs and fraudulent checks in his car during a traffic stop Sunday, police said in a news release Monday.
Police said they found methamphetamine, a pink powder substance and a white powder substance in Keith Epps' car during a traffic stop in the 800 block of Joe Frank Harris Parkway.
Epps claimed the drugs belonged to a woman whom he had given a ride, police said.

During the arrest, police said they found two bad checks on Epps.
After Epps was taken to the Bartow County Jail, police said they found a bag of marijuana, two bags of white powder, a bag of pink powder and individual baggies in the patrol car's back seat.

Police said they identified the white powder as eutylone, a synthetic cathinone and novel designer drug commonly sold on the streets as bath salts.
Epps is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute, as well as forgery and traffic charges.
He did not have a bond amount set and was still in custody as of Monday afternoon.
