Cartersville Man Charged in Floyd County Burglary Spree

William Shannon Aultman, 33, was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Wednesday.

Floyd County police have charged a Cartersville man in connection to several burglaries occurring between 2013 and 2014.

According to the Rome News-Tribune, William Shannon Aultman, 33, was charged with five counts of felony burglary in the first degree, five counts of felony theft by taking, theft by receiving stolen property, misdemeanor identity fraud and misdemeanor theft by taking. He remains at the jail with no bond.

Police say Aultman was involved in at least 12 burglaries or thefts from homes and commercial businesses across the county from December 2013 to April 2014, Rome-News Tribune reports. Some of the items taken were circular saws, dirt bikes, jewelry antiques and two Jeep Cherokees, according to the newspaper.
