'One Blessed Mother': Residents Share Mother's Day Photos

Help us celebrate Mother's Day 2018 by sending in your mother-daughter (or son) lookalike photo.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Georgia to share their "mother-daughter (or son) lookalike" photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are, they'll always be your babies!

Cartersville resident Amanda Pruitt sent us this gorgeous photo of her with her daughters, from left, Araya, age 4, mom and daughter Shyla Pruitt, age 10, taken in October 2017. Happy Mother's Day, Amanda!

Another submission comes from Daniella Redd:

"This is my Mom Paula and my daughter Kaile," Redd said. "This is all three generations here!! We all look alike! I love knowing what my classy aging looks will be will I get older. We all have the same color of eyes. I have the unique brown dots in one eye just like my mom. Our eyes are greenish blue. Of course, I find myself doing things just like her."

"My message to my daughter: Your focus and drive inspire me," she said. "Your accomplishments fill me with pride. Always stand strong in your beliefs and be true to yourself. God entrusted me to be a mom to you and Jake; therefore, I am blessed to be called Moodre."

Heidi Diaz of Cartersville said her daughters are one of the main reasons she pushes herself forward in life. Her commitment to her children, who have gone through many experiences in their younger years, is why she wakes up everyday "with a purpose in this game of life."

"The purpose being my need to instill good values in each so they may grow up to be independent, hardworking, ambitious, and compassionate women," she said. "Not only towards one another as sisters, but towards all of society. The eldest two have been very good influences for my youngest, and I know they will someday be phenomenal mothers to their own children. I am proud of my young ladies and love them very much."
