Deputies with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office initially responded to the bank at 420 Old Mill Road in Cartersville just after 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in reference to the robbery. Cartersville police took over the investigation once the bank reported to authorities it had been annexed into the city.
According to The Daily News Tribune, Bartow sheriff’s office spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said the man passed the teller a note, jumped onto the counter, reached into the drawer and snatched an undisclosed amount of money.
