Dover's Plea In Carr Murder Delayed -- Again
Three other defendants have already been sentenced to prison while another is waiting to go to trial.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- One of two suspects who have yet to receive their sentence for their involvement in the death of a Bartow County man last year will learn her fate in August.
That's because defendant Rebecca Leeann Dover, who has been charged with felony murder in connection to the killing of Robert Ashley Carr, did not enter a plea on her case, which she was scheduled to do on Tuesday, June 21.
Sharon M. Fox, assistant district attorney for the Cherokee Judicial Circuit, said Dover's case will remain on Bartow Superior Court Judge Suzanne Smith's calendar, and the next opportunity for the state to try the case will be the week of Aug. 29.

Fox said Dover attempted to enter a negotiated plea to the charge of conspiracy to commit robbery, but Judge Smith would not accept the plea as offered by her attorneys.
According to WBHF Radio, that plea would have carried a sentence of 10 years, two of which would have been served in prison and the rest on probation.

Fellow defendant Elizabeth Morgan Kelley pleaded guilty to party to a crime of armed robbery and aggravated assault, and was sentenced by Smith to a total of 40 years, 10 of which she will have to serve in prison.
